If you haven't made 2011 memorable in some way, it's time to get started because ... there are only 36 days remaining.
In one way we won't want to remember ours. It's the year when hubby was back and forth to hospitals, had scans, chemo and eventually diagnosed with a terminal illness that's rare, and won't respond to chemo.
Also 2011 saw our January son, daughter-in-law and grandchild move to the USA, but we've still kept in touch through Skype so it's not as bad as we first envisaged; they'll be here for Christmas/New Year as will December son and 'J'.
We've had the pleasure of December son and 'J's' company and support in extremely large quantities in 2011 - they've been marvellous and I don't know where we'd have been without that (too much to deal with!).

Friends and family, too, have either visited, phoned or emailed so we know that our move to the coast, hasn't meant that we've lost contact with everyone.
So no matter where we are in our lives, we know we have wonderful people giving us strength, love and support.

Mrs S - I don't know if you realised that the post above is very profound in so far as you published it in what is the middle of the Thanksgiving Holiday season here in the USA.
It serves as a reminder that for all our material belonging's - be it the fancy house , the new car in the drive way - its family that matters most.
Compliments of the (thanksgiving) holiday season to your family from mine.
Fondest Regards

Hello, again, hello Big Dollop. Looks like the fickle finger of fate played her part in guiding me to post today. Good on you for noticing the unintentional connection, and now that I've done it, I'm glad it's today (but pity it wasn't yesterday!). Yes - it's family that matters most (& freens too of course). Thanks so much for your good wishes, which we wholeheartedly return. Hope you've all had a great Thanksgiving and are now full to bursting! Best wishes xx
